IMD adopts a tracking system that makes it possible to know the exact origin of each flour obtained from each type of grain. Thanks to this technology, the laboratory has complete control of each flour mixture, constantly verifying the quality and chemical-physical characteristics of all cereals and flours. In addition, the company partners with microbiological and chemical analysis laboratories accredited by ACCREDIA, assuring hygiene and safe products for it's customers.
The production process begins with weight verification and grain analysis, thoroughly checking all characteristics, and only after compliant results can unloading begin in the "pit". In this phase the raw material is cleaned twice before being stored in the silos. In the stage from the silos to the mill, the grain passes in a separator which removes debris through suction, and only afterwards the grain is wet for the first time. Before the grinding process, the grain undergoes a second cleaning phase consisting of a second separator, a stone remover, grain brushes, a racking machine, a helical battery, after which it is wet a second time and is again stored in pre-grinding parking cells. Finally, once the optimal milling condition has been obtained, the grain is ready for grinding, but not before a final grain brushing.
The entire quality controlled pre-milling process emphasizes the company's objective for clean grains, assuring hygiene and excellent flours for it's customers.
