IMD is a business enterprise located in the province of Frosinone, and it specialises in the production of various types of flour and similar products. The company started in 2002 with an idea of the Del Ferraro brothers, Giorgio and Giancarlo, whose aim was to provide high quality flour products thanks to internal control systems developed through the partners’ experience in the field.
The entire Del Ferraro family shares one common denominator which is the passion for wheat, a tradition passed down from generation to generation starting from 1927, the year that founder Giorgio Del Ferraro started operating his stone mill at Rocca Massima (Boschetto area), in the Province of Latina.
The family grew and between the II and III generations Giuseppe Del Ferraro and his sons Giancarlo and Giorgio (founder's nephew) expanded the milling facility.
This first evolution allowed the company to supply products expressly adapted to customer needs, for example the "Lariano Bread" flour is one of the Del Ferraro trademarks, but there are others: "Corn flour for SPOLVERO" or "Corn flour for POLENTA" just to name a few. In 2002 the family made the important decision of expanding, acquiring a new plant in Arpino, in the province of Frosinone; a completely new production operation with the company name IMD, an acronym of "Industrie Molitorie Del Ferraro".
